PROWEB trained its members in Matabeleland and in turn they cascaded this knowledge downwards by organising fellow grassroots women in their various communities, establishing their special areas of interest and passions before embarking on life orientation skills which they have embraced to change their own lives and improve their standard of living. The lady at the helm of this great initiative is Violet Mhute on the far left, Chairperson of our Co-ordinating Committee with Nonhlanhla Ncube in the centre and Adelaide Muchetu on the right.

Below are some of the areas of impact…

  • Beadwork
  • Macrame Bags
  • Sewing African Attire
  • Designing and sewing Leather Products eg. Shoes, Sandals, Belts, Bags, Wallets etc
  • Basic business skills such as Book- keeping, Communication. & Customer Relations
  • Detergents Making
After impacting these basic skills on the ladies, they were greatly encouraged with most of them scaling up their operations by formally registering their companies, paying Taxes to the Government, marketing and exhibiting their products and wares at this year’s editions of ZITF and Sanganai- Hlanganani. Keep up the good work and the flag raised on high
